Rental agreement

Terms for renting reusable moving totes from The Tote Guy. By booking online, you agree to these terms.

1. Service

The Tote Guy provides reusable plastic moving totes and dollies for temporary rental. Your package includes delivery to your address and pickup when you are finished. For additional pickup or delivery attempts beyond the included service, a $25 charge per trip will apply. We serve customers within ~20 miles of Columbus & Springfield, OH. Addresses outside this area may be declined or require special arrangement.

2. Rental period

The standard rental period is 14 days from delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. You are responsible for keeping the totes and dollies secure and available for pickup at the end of your rental period.

3. Customer responsibilities

• Provide an accurate delivery address and a reachable mobile number for scheduling and updates.
• Use totes only for lawful household or office moving purposes; do not use them to store hazardous materials, liquids that could leak, or perishable food without proper containment.
• Do not modify, deface, or alter the totes or dollies (including co-branded stickers on partner deliveries).
• Notify us promptly if totes or dollies are lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear.
• Make totes and dollies accessible for pickup when you request collection or when the rental period ends.

4. Extensions

Based on total totes in possession, rounded up to the nearest package tier. Dollies are included — no extra dolly charge during an extension.

If you need totes longer than the standard rental period, contact us before your period ends. Weekly extension fees apply based on the total number of totes in your possession, rounded up to the nearest package tier:

• Small (20 totes): $20/week
• Standard (40 totes): $40/week
• Large (60 totes): $60/week

5. Damage and missing items

Normal wear and minor scuffs are expected and not charged.

• Replacement tote: $25
• Replacement dolly: $60

You authorize The Tote Guy to charge your payment method on file or invoice you for replacement fees for items not returned or damaged beyond normal wear.

6. Payment

Package price is due at booking via secure online checkout unless a valid realtor promo code covers the full rental. Extension fees, damage fees, and other approved charges may be billed separately after your rental. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax is not included in listed prices where applicable.

7. Cancellation and rescheduling

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your booking. Refunds, when applicable, are handled at our discretion and may depend on how close to the scheduled delivery date you cancel.

8. Limitation of liability

The Tote Guy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of rented equipment. Our total liability for any claim related to a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental. You are responsible for the contents you place in the totes.
